What You Will Do:
Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.
The CDS organization is seeking a Software Developer responsible for Offboard Software Systems.
+ Work with a team of Java and Python software developers within an Agile framework across multiple projects.
+ Develop, design, and debug OBPHM Services in Linux Kubernetes environment.
+ Develop software code that implements requirements, working closely with customers, stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts.
+ Review and analyze offboard software requirements.
+ Conduct code reviews.
+ Develop test plans and conduct tests ensuring full software verification and validation at all levels.
+ Troubleshoot code and build issues and support released software and deployments.
+ Provide required documentation and regular status updates to manager and project team leaders.
+ Implement, adhere to, and continuously improve software development processes and procedures
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of software engineering leadership experience, or an advanced degree and 3+ years’ experience.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Experience with Microservices, Java, Python, CI/CD, Agile, DevSecOps, AWS, SQL, Test Driven Design
+ Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in software development and understanding of software engineering development lifecycle
+ Customer service experience, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively with P&W customers and other stakeholders.

**Onsite:** Employees who are working in onsite roles will work onsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
