The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
RTX Enterprise Services digital organization is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer who will design, code, test, debug, and implement SAP ABAP applications. The developer is required to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions to customers. The SAP ABAP Developer should have strong application development and systems integration experience. This person will adhere to RTX development standards and methodologies. This person will be capable of performing code reviews with peers and be able to recognize good programming techniques and correct coding problems. This role performs as part of an SAP Development team.
What You Will Do:
+ Partner with functional teams to review functional specifications and produce technical design specifications
+ Provide level of effort estimates based on functional specifications or business requirements
+ Design, code, unit test, debug and implement SAP ABAP applications while working closely with functional teams
+ Resolve open development issues and make decisions about alternate technical approaches
+ Proactively provide work status
+ Follow development standards and methodology
+ Ensure that documentation is properly maintained
+ Support the change control process
+ Conduct code reviews with peers
+ Address code defects, support enhancements and updates
+ Develop test plans for new or modified programs
+ Test, debug, implement, and document fixes
+ Perform issue resolution and root cause analysis
+ Provide advanced problem solving and technical support, including on-call critical support
+ Travel possible, up to 10%.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Demonstrated soft skills required for the presentation of ideas and concepts to stakeholders such as vendors, end users and senior management. The list of potential skills that an SAP ABAP Developer might be required to have can be long and complex.
+ At least 8 years of SAP experience (SD, MM, PP, QM, PM, FI and core capabilities like OO ABAP, ALE/EDI, WF, WebDynpro ABAP), working knowledge of the ABAP development process with at least 8 years of experience at an SAP A&D company
+ Minimum 8 years of SAP workflow framework and custom development with the ability to engage vendor support on technical and functional issues and direct SAP development team to resolve issues.
+ Excellent verbal, written, communication, presentation and negotiations skills with strong customer service approach and effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels
+ Ability to collaborate and work well with others and ability to lead technical development projects with expert troubleshooting techniques, and ability to escalate issues properly and in a timely fashion; Available to provide off-shift system support.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Strong understanding and implementation experience using the scaled agile framework (SAFe) methodology; Experience extending SAP standard functionality using ABAP Objects and other modern SAP technologies.
+ Experience with Raytheon’s current Supplier processes and PRISM system and working with current Raytheon Enterprise Services Business System Experts (BSEs) and other software developers
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment, customer support environment and with all levels of the organization; Experience delivering ECC and DT solutions outside of the United States
+ Good understanding of performance tuning and dialog programming; Knowledge or skills related to User Experience (UX)
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs, and effective communication skills; Experience documenting As-Is and To-Be processes

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
