    The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

    RTX Corporation is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Software Developer to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent college graduate who is passionate about software development and eager to contribute to innovative projects in the aerospace and defense industry. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), is highly desirable.

    What You Will Do:

    + Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.

    + Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

    + Troubleshoot and debug software issues.

    + Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.

    + Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.• Participate in Agile SAFe ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement within the Agile framework.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

    + Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.

    + Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

    + Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

    + Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Internship or project experience in software development.

    + Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).

    + Experience with web development frameworks and tools.

    + Familiarity with databases and SQL.

    + Understanding of cybersecurity principles.

    + Experience with SAFe Agile methodology is a plus.

    The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

     

    Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

     

    Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

     

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
