Balance Sheet Reconciliation Senior Analyst - C12
The Balance Sheet Reconciliation Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role within SMB&IC Balance Sheet Controls organization whose purpose is to develop and maintain a comprehensive process to proactively identify and reduce operational risk. Account Reconciliation Governance is a key control function under SMB&IC Balance Sheet Controls and involves review of accounts across global Operations to assess the controls and data analytics, identify inconsistencies in data or results, define business issues and formulate recommendations on policies, procedures or practices.
•Responsibilities:
+ Participates in the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
+ Contributes to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
+ Work closely with Operations Account Owners to highlight data and control issues and ensure required actions are addressed.
+ Performs data collection and analysis in support of risk management project activities.
+ Analyze large data sets and identify trends for proactive escalation.
+ Collaborate with various business units globally to develop controls and strategies which address risk.
+ Act as a point of contact for issue escalation and regulatory exams and audits.
+ Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
+ Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
+ Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
+ Performs additional duties and functions as assigned.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
+ Knowledge/Experience:
+ Data Analytics experience
+ Data management and governance
+ Operational risk and controls
+ Exposure to Finance/ Accounting
+ Knowledge of metrics and reporting
Skills & Competencies:
+ 5-8 years relevant experience
+ Proficient in MS Office applications
+ Proven organization and time management skills with ability to incorporate unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions
+ Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge
+ Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of deliverables
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or other related fields

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$87,280.00 - $130,920.00
