Minimum Qualifications for Home Health Aide (HHA)

+ Minimum one year work experience (does not have to be in the HHA field)

+ Successfully completion of a state approved HHA training course or vocational school program

+ Submit to a criminal background check in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations

+ Be at least 18 years of age

What you Will Do as a Home Health Aide (HHA)** **?

You will provide assistance to patients in their home with Activities of Daily Living based on individual care plans. This may include:

+ Personal care: hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding

+ Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making

+ Range of motion/exercises

+ Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices

+ Assisting with ambulation

+ Medication reminders

+ Monitoring the patient's condition

+ Client interaction to improve quality of life
