Delta Hotels by Marriott Toledo is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth through strategic business travel and group sales initiatives. This leadership role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong background in corporate account management, hospitality sales, Marriott systems and team development. A sense of humor is preferred, but not required.
As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that position Delta Toledo as the preferred hotel for business travelers, meetings, and events. You will work closely with the General Manager and the management company to set and achieve sales goals, develop client relationships, and ensure optimal occupancy and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy with a focus on business travel, corporate accounts, and group sales.
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities through direct sales calls, networking, and industry events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel managers, and local businesses.
Oversee and support the sales team in achieving individual and team goals.
Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment with brand standards and guest expectations.
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and historical data to forecast sales and adjust strategies accordingly.
Prepare regular reports on sales activity, performance metrics, and market insights for executive leadership.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in hotel sales leadership, preferably within a full-service or business-focused hotel environment.
Proven success in business travel and corporate account development.
Preferably strong knowledge of the local Toledo market and surrounding business sectors.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to motivate and lead a high-performing sales team.
Proficient in sales management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
Must be highly organized, results-oriented, and customer-focused.
