    _POSITION SUMMARY - General Manager of full service heavy duty truck dealership_

Plans, Leads, Organizes, and Controls activities that will ensure growth in revenue and control expenses for a profitable and sustaining business.

     

    Leads a high-volume multiple business unit facility to include Sales, Service, Parts, and Body Shop.

    _ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES_

    • Hires, trains, develops, and monitors the performance of each Department Manager.

    • Fosters employee development by assisting department managers to determine training needs.

    • Ensures all employees become part of the team through managements engagement at the individual level.

    • Inspires a culture of open communication

    • Drives compliance with and development of policies and procedures

    • Assists each department manager to establish relevant goals and objectives

    • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business

    • Maintains relationships with factory representatives and both understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty procedures

    • Leads/Performs other duties as assigned.

    _SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE_

    • Schedules and supervises all levels of employees.

    _EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE_

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred;

    • Relevant industry experience is strongly preferred, demonstrating a unique understanding of heavy duty truck sales and service.
