    Job Description

    Position Purpose

    The position serves as the Application Coordinator for the Health Science Special Application admission programs and process. The Special Application Coordinator provides program, transfer, and advising information, as well as resources and referrals throughout the application process. This position also:

     

    + Develops expertise in assigned Health Science Application programs and manages caseload of applicants pursing admission to these programs.

    + Determines candidates’ eligibility for programs based on student application, record, transfer evaluation in UAchieve and Transferology, and program specific criteria and calculations.

    + Communicates and meets with candidates regarding their application throughout the application process.

    + Reviews program requirements with program directors and Deans for each selection process and collaborates with Admissions, Advising, Transfer Student Services, Records, and other stakeholders at the beginning of each application period.

    Position Responsibilities

    + Coordinate and maintain all functions of the Health Science Special Application Admission Process to support students throughout the entire process.

    + Reviews program eligibility requirements, timeline, and communication flow at the beginning of each application cycle and review outcomes at the end of each application cycle.

    + Perform other tasks as assigned benefiting all new and current students at the college, in support of student success.

    Salary Range:

    $23.63 - $34.18/hour / $49,339 - $71,368 Annually

     

    _(DOQ – Salary Placement will be done at time of hire.)_

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Two years’ experience in college student personnel, higher education, or related field; _an associate degree may substitute for 6 months experience, a bachelor’s degree may substitute for 1-year professional experience, a master’s degree may substitute for 1.5 years’ professional experience_ .

    + Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in individual and group settings via phone, email and in person.

    + The ability to plan, be highly organized, make decisions, and communicate information accurately and independently.

    + Demonstrated Technology skills sufficient to use computer software applications and systems to manage eform application process and Microsoft Office 365 skills to create, modify, and manage spreadsheets to review applications and the ability to maintain and communicate through shared email accounts.

    + Data entry skills sufficient to enter information and application data in the enrollment management system accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines.

    + Experience working with constituents from diverse and traditionally underserved backgrounds and with varied needs.

    Preferred Qualification

    + Bachelor's degree or higher.

    + Knowledge of and experience with health science programs and admissions requirements.

    + Previous experience working in higher education, specifically in Admissions, Academic Advising, Transfer Student Services, or Registration.

    + Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize workload, meet required deadlines, initiate, and follow up on activities independently.

    + Knowledge of policies, procedures and guidelines set by Minnesota State and Century College.

    + Ability to use ISRS, UAchieve, Transferology, and ImageNow or similar programs to look up student records.
