If you are a **MANUFACTURING & OPERATIONS** professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our **SIDNEY, OH** location, you will support manufacturing processes in order to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives. This exciting opportunity is a part of the HVACR Technologies Americas business. The role is an integral part of continuous improvement projects and interfaces with employees at all levels of the organization. This position will assist and lead projects such as new product introductions, process improvements, cost reductions, troubleshooting equipment, and assisting the maintenance staff.
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, You Will:
•Develop documentation for operators and technicians to perform their duties and assist them in troubleshooting.
• Provide front line technical support to production and maintenance staff to achieve safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost objectives.
•Comprehend, create and modify CNC machining programs for lathes and milling machines.
• Utilize DraftSite(2D) and NX(2D/3D) Software for mechanical design.
• Utilize Siemens Teamcenter for part print and documentation storage.
• Lead implementation of new products/models into the plant working with the Advanced manufacturing team.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to improve processes, eliminate waste and reduce cost.
• Operate effectively in an automated environment with robotics, automated gauges and HMI interfaces.
• Manage projects from concept and design through implementation and qualification within project schedule and budget.
• Effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels of the organization. Collaborate with and communicate effectively with operations employees, engineering teams, product planning and external suppliers, etc.
• Work with cross-functional teams to address current manufacturing challenges across multiple product lines
• Self-initiate corrective actions for quality concerns based on effective problem-solving skills and develop temporary and permanent solutions to manufacturing issues.
• Align with all required safety and regulatory requirements.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineer or Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or similar degree. Minimum of 5 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing engineering or automation environment
• 3 (3+) years' experience with CNC machining methods, controls, processes, programming and machine setup
• Experience working in an automated environment
• Competent with using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, AutoCAD/DraftSite, and/or 3D design (Inventor, SolidWorks, or NX)
• Experience leading process improvements and cost reductions
• Motivated self-starter and team player with excellent communication skills
• Experience in 3D design(NX, Solidworks)
• Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or similar degree. Minimum of 10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing engineering or automation environment
• 7 (7+) years' experience with CNC machining methods, controls, processes, programming and machine setup
• Proficient in performing manufacturing PFMEA
• Understanding of PLC programming & FANUC robot controls
• 5 years experience in Project Leadership • Proficient in 3D design(NX, Solidworks)
