    The Idaho Division of Veterans Services (IDVS) is seeking a compassionate and motivated individual for a Financial Technician- Biller opening at the state-of-the-art Post Falls Veterans Home. The ideal candidate will analyze, research, forecast, and reconcile complex financial documents and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and policies; attention to detail is a must; performs related work. This position works in a lively business office setting.

    Responsibilities:

    + Prepare monthly room and board, pharmacy, patient liability, hospice, Medicaid, and other third-party billings for all payer types.

    + Follow up on any rejected claims, make appropriate corrections, and resubmit billing claims.

    + Answer billing questions from responsible parties and/or residents.

    + Prepare and complete billing reports.

    + Attend billing meetings and provide financial documentation.

    + Backup for other Business Office staff when needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Good Knowledge of:

    + Financial Record Keeping.

    Experience:

    + Researching and compiling financial information and preparing summaries and reports.

    + Using personal computers to enter, retrieve, and edit financial data.

    MQ Specialties:

    Experience:

    + Using MS Excel.

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Experience reviewing and researching accounts receivable to resolve discrepancies.

    + Experience billing medical entities such as Medicare, Medicaid, hospice, private and third-party insurances, and pharmacies.
