    Salary: $20-­$30 per hour

    Per NonUnit Rate Schedule

    Report Times: Varies

     

    Daily Hours: 10­-12 per week

     

    Work Year: 12 months

     

    Supervisor: Director of Multilingual Education

     

    Civil Service Title: School Aide

    Minimum Requirements:

    There are no education or experience qualifications for this position.

    Desired Qualifications:

    Ability to communicate in English and additional language in oral and written formats;

     

    New York State Teaching Certification (preferred);

     

    Bachelor's Degree in Education or Languages;

     

    Strong interpersonal skills;

     

    Strong organizational skills;

     

    Ability to demonstrate cultural competency.

    Position Summary/Responsibilities:

    Provides support to multilingual students under the general supervision of a certified teacher;

     

    Supports staff with information about students language and cultural backgrounds to assist planning;

     

    Interfaces with families and staff;

     

    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
