    Summary:

    The Clinical Educator for Work Health, LLC is responsible for the development and execution of educational programs, and orientation of clinical personnel, enhancing professional practice and the provision of quality patient care. The incumbent will orchestrate these programs based on organizational priorities and will work in close collaboration with interdisciplinary colleagues to design and implement evidence-based quality educational programs and activities to support and promote professional competency for nursing, inter-professional and non-licensed clinical staff at all Work Health facilities. The Clinical Educator is accountable for competency assessments and initiatives that support clinical and professional excellence within Work Health, LLC.

    Responsibilities:

    •Responsible for all staff education, training and competencies, as appropriate ·Shares knowledge and serves as the primary resource in a team environment for all Work Health clinics ·Assists with the development and continuous updates needed to ensure processes/information are current ·Engages in various operational responsibilities to support clinics and overall organization ·Maintains current knowledge of organization’s policies and procedures. Adheres to state, federal and industry specific regulations/laws. Maintains appropriate related documentation. ·Collaborate with managers, directors, Medical Director and other disciplines in the development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting and evaluation of onboarding and orientation program for nursing and other healthcare personnel, including but not limited to medical assistants and clinical assistants/technicians. ·Identify and design educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences, which includes licensed and non-licensed personnel. These activities are designed to achieve specific outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvements in knowledge, skill and practice in a positive learning and practice environment. ·Integrate Evidence Based Practice (EBP), Research and QI metrics to continuously improve quality and processes in clinic settings by conducting, encouraging, facilitating and participating in EBP and QI analysis, with commensurate feedback/education. ·Collaborates with interprofessional partners to share experiences in planning and decision-making to achieve desired educational outcomes. ·Supports strategic planning within the clinical education areas of responsibility (that may include technology advancements) by embracing meaningful change, identifying and addressing barriers to change, assists in the development, resource utilization and implementation of change strategies by educating/supporting staff, and monitors sustainability of the change. ·Interacts with peers and colleagues to enhance professional practice and role performance. ·Advances the profession by mentoring students, nurses, and other professional colleagues ·Acquires knowledge and seeks experiences and continuing educational opportunities to develop, maintain, enhance and improve competence in specialty and professional development. ·Assists in the placement and orientation of students from various universities, colleges, and training programs. ·Provides input into department annual budget and demonstrates stewardship of financial resources. ·Maintains a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed. ·Contributes to the development of policies and procedures.     Education and Experience

     

    + Bachelor’s Degree

    + ·Maine state RN licensure

    •BLS/CPR/AED certification

    •5 - 10 years’ experience as a practicing nurse

    •Working knowledge of workers compensation, occupational health and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, preferred

    + Previous clinical educator experience preferred
