    *Position Summary:*The Director of Materials Management/Purchasing is responsible forthe management and supervision of the evaluation, procurement, storage, and distribution of all supplies and equipment within the hospital.

    Additional responsibilities include:

    * Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

    * Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.

    * Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.

    * Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.

    * Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

    *Minimum Qualifications:*****

    * *Education:*Bachelor’s degree preferred

    * *Experience:* Minimum 5 years of leadership experience and 3 years hospital acute care experience or 10 years with past purchasing experience and 1 years of hospital experience.
