Description We are looking for a skilled Card Services Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Lewiston, Maine. This position requires someone with expertise in debit and credit card operations, dispute resolution, and fraud management. The role involves providing exceptional member-facing support while handling card-related issues and ensuring seamless account management.

Responsibilities:

• Handle member inquiries related to debit and credit card issues, including activation, authorization problems, and account setups.

• Process card-related transactions such as creating new debit cards, ordering credit cards, and updating credit limits.

• Investigate and resolve daily disputes, including chargebacks and fraud alerts, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.

• File reports related to fraud or data breaches, including Visa fraud reports, and take appropriate action.

• Collaborate with the VP of Financial Services to follow step-by-step procedures for card operations and member services.

• Maintain professionalism and adherence to business dress codes, contributing to a positive office environment.

• Support members with blocking cards, raising or lowering credit limits, and other account management tasks.

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures while managing sensitive financial data.

• Participate in team efforts to support community initiatives, such as fundraising for local causes.

• Work within a first-floor office setting and adapt to minor renovations or commotions as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in card services or financial operations.

• Proficiency in handling debit and credit card transactions, including account setup and dispute resolution.

• Strong knowledge of fraud management and chargeback processes.

• Ability to interpret and utilize Visa fraud or data breach reports.

• Excellent communication skills to provide member-facing support and resolve issues effectively.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance in financial operations.

• Capable of working collaboratively within a diverse team and under effective supervision.

• Adherence to workplace dress codes and policies.
