A leading e-commerce company is seeking a freelance Photographer to join its high-volume digital studio in Louisville, KY. This is a 6-month contract role ideal for a creative, detail-oriented visual professional with strong studio experience. You’ll support daily photography production for an expansive online catalog—focusing primarily on product-on-white imagery across diverse categories.

Job Title: Photographer (Full Time Contractor)

Hours: 40 hours/week

Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate: $24-26/hr

Overview:

In this role, you’ll produce high-quality, consistent product photography that meets brand standards, aesthetic expectations, and efficiency benchmarks. If you’re tech-savvy, have an eye for lighting and composition, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Capture high-quality product imagery for digital use in a studio setting

+ Execute studio photography using proper lighting, styling, and composition techniques

+ Maintain consistent visual standards for color, exposure, and styling

+ Collaborate with stylists, art directors, and post-production teams

+ Troubleshoot and solve technical or creative challenges on set

+ Ensure daily production goals and deadlines are met

+ Handle multiple shoots or projects concurrently with minimal supervision

About the Studio:

This is a high-output studio environment primarily focused on e-commerce product photography—featuring clean, consistent, product-on-white images. You’ll work with a collaborative and energetic team that values precision, speed, and creativity.

Requirements

Top 3 Skills Required:

+ Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Capture One Pro, and Mac OS (OSX)

+ 1–3 years of experience in digital studio product photography

+ Expertise in photographic lighting and composition

Qualifications:

+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Photography or related field (or equivalent experience)

+ 1–3 years of studio photography experience in a high-volume environment

+ Online portfolio demonstrating product photography, lighting, and styling proficiency

+ Strong on-set styling ability and attention to visual detail

+ Excellent communication and time-management skills

+ Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-driven environment

+ Experience working with tight deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities
