Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Accounting Analyst to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading publicly traded energy equipment manufacturing firm, where your expertise will directly support operational success. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial data, performing insightful analyses, and collaborating with multiple departments to drive informed decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Present analytical findings and financial results to senior leadership, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
• Conduct detailed financial analyses and operational accounting projects on an ad-hoc basis.
• Streamline reporting processes by developing automated solutions for data analysis and financial documentation.
• Partner with operations and finance teams to enhance collaboration and provide guidance on financial matters.
• Manage and analyze weekly and monthly financial schedules related to the balance sheet and income statement.
• Review and approve monthly account reconciliations using Blackline software.
• Support the monthly forecasting process for ongoing projects and review project budgets.
• Execute annual standard cost reviews and updates within the system.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets for presentation to upper management.
• Provide financial instruction and technical assistance to teams on operational transactions and processes. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with at least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or auditing.
• Proven expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP& A).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Smart View, Snowflake, Power BI, and Alteryx is a plus.
• Strong background in cost accounting, including manufacturing and standard cost accounting.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present complex data to senior management.
• Knowledge of variance analysis and budgeting processes.
• Familiarity with automated reporting and data management tools preferred.
