• Legal Assistant (Complex Criminal Litigation)

    Description

    A full-service, midsize firm in Seattle has a rare opening for an experienced litigation legal assistant specializing in complex white collar criminal defense, with matters ranging from fraud, embezzlement, bribery, insider trading, money laundering, cybercrime, environmental crimes, and commercial litigation. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a highly skilled, reputable team and be closely involved in the cases.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    + Proofreading litigation documents and preparing tables of contents and authorities.

    + Managing electronic and paper files, case docketing, and attorney travel arrangements.

    + E-filing with state and federal courts, including under seal when necessary.

    + Coordinating multiple attorney calendars and ensuring all deadlines are met.

    + Facilitating communication with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors.

    Salary and Benefits:

    The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000. Benefits include fully paid medical, dental, and vision premiums; annual HSA contributions; a 401(k) with match and discretionary profit share; 3+ weeks paid time off; paid holidays.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum of 5+ years of criminal law experience.

    + Extensive experience e-filing in both state and federal courts.

    + Exceptional proofreading, organizational, and scheduling skills.

    + Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize a high workload.
