Human Resource Generalist
The HR Generalist works independently and as part of a small team of HR professionals to perform day-to-day HR activities in the following functional areas: employee relations, employee/leadership development, organizational development, HRIS, compensation and benefits, performance management, and regulatory compliance. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced.
Functions and Responsibilities
+ Interpret, analyze, and apply human resources policies and procedures and provide recommendations
+ Assist leadership with performance management, recognition, and discipline
+ Handle employee relations counseling, including conducting investigations and recommending appropriate corrective action and drafting disciplinary action documents, as needed
+ Investigate, resolve and communicate employee questions, concerns, and issues.
+ Support administration of wage and salary programs pay practices, employee benefit programs, workers’ compensation issues, and other HR services.
+ Support employees and supervisors through L&I administration, including coordinating appropriate documentation, developing light duty job descriptions, and communicating and facilitating return to work.
+ Identify, recommend and develop new approaches, policies and procedures that improve the efficiency within the department and services performed.
+ Process terminations and participate in unemployment hearings and exit interviews.
+ Update employee communication materials including the employee handbook, benefits guide, and other policy and procedure manuals.
+ Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
+ BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
+ 2-5 years of experience gained through HR Generalist positions with increasing specific working knowledge in several of the following: employment, performance management, safety/L&I, regulatory compliance, benefits, and employee relations.
+ Experience serving in HR Assistant/Coordinator or Specialist role and/or similar role serving large, non-exempt employee population, preferred.
Physical Requirements
+ Sit, stand and/or walk for 8 hours per day. Occasionally lift items that could be up to 25 pounds.

The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: $77,968 - $108,839
