Description We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities and ensure the efficient acquisition of materials and supplies for our organization. This Contract-to-permanent position is based in Calabasas, California, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in purchasing strategies and vendor management while maintaining a focus on cost optimization.
Responsibilities:
• Manage procurement operations, including sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and high-quality materials.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with organizational goals and budgetary constraints.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure consistent delivery and service.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to avoid stock shortages or excess.
• Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and agreements to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand material requirements and provide timely solutions.
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement processes.
• Resolve any issues related to supplier delivery, quality, or pricing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities and generate reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement practices. Requirements • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing strategies, procurement processes, and vendor management.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools to manage purchasing activities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
