Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of multiple dealership locations in Independence, Ohio. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead a team and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise financial operations across three dealership locations, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Provide leadership to a team of three controllers, offering guidance and mentoring to support their growth and attention to detail.
• Oversee month-end closing processes and ensure the integrity of financial statements and internal controls.
• Analyze key performance indicators, variances, and dealership metrics to provide actionable insights for leadership.
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements across all operations.
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement processes to enhance efficiency across dealerships.
• Coordinate external audits and collaborate with tax advisors to ensure accurate and compliant tax preparation. Requirements • Proven experience in a controllership role, preferably in a dealership or retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
• Expertise in analyzing financial data and presenting actionable insights to leadership.
• Familiarity with corporate compliance, audit protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
