Description We are looking for a highly skilled VMware Engineer to join our team in Malvern, Pennsylvania. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will play a pivotal part in managing and optimizing virtualization infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across all data center locations. The ideal candidate is adept at handling Cisco HyperFlex environments and VMware technologies, with a strong focus on system performance, security, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Cisco HyperFlex clusters and VMware vSphere infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

• Monitor virtual machine health and system metrics using vCenter and other management tools to proactively address performance issues.

• Execute timely patching and updates for HyperFlex and VMware hosts to maintain security and compliance.

• Provision and manage virtual machines, datastores, and virtual networking configurations within VMware environments.

• Conduct disaster recovery tests, including VM failover and rollback procedures, to validate business continuity plans.

• Perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents affecting virtualization infrastructure.

• Develop capacity plans for memory, storage, and compute resources to support future growth.

• Configure and test backup, snapshot, and system recovery solutions to safeguard critical data.

• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure service uptime and address cross-functional infrastructure needs.

• Document system changes, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams to maintain accurate records. Requirements • At least 5 years of experience managing VMware infrastructure, with a minimum of 2 years in Cisco HyperFlex environments.

• Proficiency in vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and related virtualization technologies.

• Strong knowledge of hyperconverged infrastructure and storage/data replication concepts.

• Hands-on experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.

• Familiarity with scripting tools such as PowerCLI or Python for task automation.

• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs and virtual switch configurations.

• Excellent problem-solving skills across compute, storage, and network layers.

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field preferred; relevant certifications such as VMware or Cisco HyperFlex are highly valued. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
