Description
Our client, a leading organization in the hospitality and training space, is seeking a UX/UI Designer to support their evolving platform. This role will help enhance their digital certification and training experience, which serves a broad national user base.
This is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to extend into 2026. Candidates must be available to work on-site in downtown Chicago (Tues–Thurs), with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with the UX team from concept to execution to design intuitive and visually appealing web application interfaces.
+ Visualize concepts using tools like Figma (a must), Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch—as well as traditional sketching and whiteboarding.
+ Develop navigation schemes, UI patterns, components, and templates to ensure consistency and dynamic user experiences.
+ Create detailed UX deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, storyboards, and high/low fidelity prototypes.
+ Conduct usability testing with UX/market researchers, iterate based on findings.
+ Develop and document visual design assets and styling specifications for developers.
+ Work closely with front-end engineers to ensure seamless handoff and implementation.
+ Ensure accessibility and scalability in all design work for a seamless experience across diverse users.
+ Participate in evolving and refining internal UX processes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ 4–5+ years of UX Design experience.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Visual Arts, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
+ Strong portfolio required—will be reviewed in-depth during the first interview round.
+ Advanced proficiency in Figma (required), Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch.
+ Experience creating wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes for both web and mobile platforms.
+ Solid experience working within brand guidelines and design systems.
+ Strong understanding of user-centered design, accessibility, and responsive design principles.
+ Ability to write clear interaction specifications (IA, workflows, functionality).
Who You’ll Work With:
You will report directly to the Lead UX Designer and collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Client Solution teams. While most of your work will be internal to the transformation team, you may occasionally interface with business stakeholders.
