Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Customer Service Representative to join our team in Houston, Texas. The Senior Customer Service Representative is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient patient interactions. The Senior Customer Service Representative will excel in providing exceptional service while maintaining a detail-oriented approach and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Assist patients with inquiries and concerns in a friendly and detail-oriented manner.
• Handle check-in and check-out processes, including registration and cashiering duties.
• Maintain an organized and tidy workspace to ensure efficiency and a detail-oriented approach.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
• Uphold courteous communication standards when interacting with patients and team members.
• Support ambulatory services by ensuring smooth operations and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with offshore teams to align service delivery and enhance overall operations.
• Utilize TRICARE and NIS systems effectively to manage patient information and streamline processes.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Minimum 1 year of direct, face-to-face customer service experience
Minimum 1 year of cash handling or collections experience
At least 6 months in a customer-facing role in a medical office, healthcare setting, or service-related industry
Proficiency with Windows-based software (Word, Excel)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of insurance plans including HMO, PPO, EPO, and Medicare Advantage
Experience with EMR systems, particularly Epic Bilingual – English/Spanish
