Description We are looking for an experienced Area Property Manager to oversee multiple properties in Muskegon, Michigan. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive operational excellence, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of accountability and engagement within the property management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, customer service, and team leadership within the real estate and property industry.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to on-site teams, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and growth.

• Conduct recruitment, training, and development of team members to align with company goals and values.

• Maximize revenue through effective pricing strategies, leasing initiatives, and cost-saving measures.

• Oversee the preparation of budgets, monthly financial reports, and variance analyses to ensure financial targets are met.

• Conduct regular property inspections and audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness, curb appeal, and compliance with operational and capital budgets.

• Ensure adherence to Fair Housing laws, local regulations, and company policies while promoting safety protocols.

• Address customer concerns promptly and effectively, maintaining a customer-first approach in all interactions.

• Collaborate with maintenance teams on repair projects and capital improvements to enhance property value.

• Monitor and manage software systems such as RealPage for rent adjustments, reporting, and staff training.

• Represent the company at community board meetings and foster positive relationships within the local community. Requirements • Minimum of 4 years of experience in property management; bachelor's degree preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with RealPage or similar software is advantageous.

• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.

• Proven leadership abilities, including team development and motivation.

• Demonstrated success in sales and marketing with a focus on achieving measurable results.

• High-energy and detail-oriented demeanor, with a commitment to excellence.

• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Expertise in accounts receivable, commercial leasing, and property accounting processes.
