Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Warwick, Rhode Island. This role involves managing critical financial processes and ensuring the accuracy of account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough and timely bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

• Handle balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare and record journal entries with precision and compliance to accounting standards.

• Maintain and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Assist in identifying and addressing outstanding financial items from prior periods.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and accurate accounting operations.

• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management as required.

• Support auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Requirements • Proven experience in general ledger management and account reconciliation.

• Proficiency in preparing and recording journal entries.

• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes.

• Ability to manage balance sheet account reconciliations effectively.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with accounting standards and practices.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
