    Description

    Growing firm located in the South Jersey area is looking to staff a success-driven Collections Manager with proven proficiency with collections software and ERP systems. The Collections Manager will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s collections department and collections activities ensuring timely collection of outstanding accounts receivable, maintaining positive customer relationships, and minimizing credit risk. This role involves supervising collections staff, developing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulations. In this role, the candidate must possess strong communication skills, excellent analytical skills, and outstanding leadership capabilities.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily credit and collection activities

    • Create departmental collection goals

    • Verify customer payments

    • Review and update client records

    • Assess risk involved in loan transactions

    • Negotiate payment terms

    • Post cash receipts

    • Implement collection procedures and policies

    • Recommend opportunities for improvement

    Requirements

    The ideal Collections Manager will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.

    Other requirements for the Collections Manager role include and are not limited to:

    • 5+ years managing a 6+ person Collections and AR Team

    • Construction, manufacturing or some other project based industry experience preferred

    • Strong knowledge of collections practices, laws, and regulations

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Excel

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
