• Director of Accounting

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Miami, FL)


    Description We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Accounting to lead and oversee financial operations at our Miami, Florida office. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual with expertise in financial reporting, audits, and accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance across all financial activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and supervise a team of accounting professionals to ensure efficient department operations.

    • Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.

    • Utilize BlackLine software to streamline and enhance reconciliation processes.

    • Lead financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.

    • Prepare and review financial reports to provide clear insights into organizational performance.

    • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure adherence to best practices.

    • Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and financial planning initiatives.

    • Provide strategic guidance on accounting matters to support organizational goals.

    • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

    • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and standards. Requirements • CPA certification is required to demonstrate expertise in accounting practices.

    • Proven experience in managing month-end close processes with a strong attention to detail.

    • Proficiency in using BlackLine software for reconciliation and accounting workflows.

    • Extensive knowledge of financial statement audits and regulatory compliance.

    • Strong background in preparing and analyzing financial reports.

    • Leadership experience managing accounting teams and driving operational efficiency.

    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    • Ability to adapt to changing financial environments and implement effective solutions.
