    Description: A Powerplant Engineer opportunity is currently available in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time, direct position with benefits.

     

    Provide technical oversight on engine work scopes by reviewing requirements and engine level decisions for optimization ensuring engine reliability and maintenance cost. Provide expertise and input on Engine Service Inductions for timing, priority and status. Participate in engine work scope reviews and revision requirements. Provide work scope documentation for MRO. Generate Customized Engine Maintenance Plans in alignment with contract requirements and master engine maintenance plans and manage the approvals and release of those plans. Generate documentation on technical issues and financial impact and future pricing of shop visits for the remainder of the contract.

    Duties:

    * Must have solid technical understanding of Aircraft and propulsion system architecture to be able to identify propulsion system hardware, EBU, BFE, LRU, & nacelle hardware, based on industry definitions, contractual definitions, and BOM definitions.

    * Understand Special Maintenance Instructions for engine shop visits.

    * Review / understand / create / execute engine work scopes.

    * Research engine maintenance data for past history to utilize for technical, quality issues.

    * Participate in failure investigations and problems.

    * Must have solid understanding of the various contracts with Airlines, engine shops, vendors, and EA network.

    * Must have a deep understanding of the Fixed Price Labor Schedule Tasks, Service Bulletins, targeted work scopes, rework, etc.

    * Must understand expendable hardware and how certain re-work would drive additional consumption of expendable hardware.

    * Must be able to coordinate requirements from multiple sources like maintenance centers, airline operators, engineering, induction planning teams, etc.

    Required:

    * Bachelor's degree in engineering

    * Knowledge of SAP

    * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel -especially the ability to create and maintain macros, pivot tables and analyze data

    * Strong Microsoft office product skills

    * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook

    * Strong verbal and written communication skills

    * Highly organized and ability to follow up to close gaps prior to deadlines

    * Ability to understand and meet critical customer deadlines

    * Strong team player

    * Strong Customer focus

    Compensation:

    We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $70,000 to $85,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.'
