As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and contractors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by remaining attentive to your surroundings and delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires you to meet Allied Universal's driver policy requirements, as a valid driver's license is necessary. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.

+ Monitor access control at the front desk, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Assist with visitor management, including logging guests and issuing visitor badges as required by site procedures.

+ Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors to address inquiries and provide information as needed.

+ Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

+ Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual activities to the appropriate personnel.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

+ A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.

+ A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
