_Senior Python with FAST API engineer (On Site)_

About the role

As a Senior Python with FAST API engineer, you will make an impact by developing applications. You will be a valued member of the Insurance team and work collaboratively with manager, primary team, or other stakeholders and teams.

In this role, you will:

+ Lead the design and development of software applications using FAST Search API Flask Django and Python to meet business requirements.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

+ Oversee the implementation of robust and scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.

+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

+ Ensure the integration of software solutions with existing systems maintaining seamless functionality and performance.

+ Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables and minimize defects.

+ Monitor and optimize application performance implementing enhancements as needed to meet evolving business needs.

+ Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies incorporating relevant advancements into project development.

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope timelines and deliverables ensuring successful project execution.

+ Document technical specifications and project progress maintaining clear and comprehensive records for future reference.

+ Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical team members ensuring a shared understanding of project goals.

+ Drive innovation by proposing and implementing new ideas and solutions that align with the companys strategic objectives.

+ Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring X days a week in a client or Cognizant office in San Jose, CA, state.

What you need to have to be considered:

+ 5+ of experience in software development with a focus on web applications.

+ Possess a strong proficiency in FAST Search API Flask Django and Python with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

+ Demonstrate expertise in Industry Essentials with the ability to apply domain knowledge to software development projects.

+ Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.

+ Show strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

+ Display a commitment to continuous learning and professional development staying abreast of industry advancements.

+ Demonstrate a proactive approach to project management with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until **7/30/2025.**

The annual salary for this position is between **$68K – $114K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.**

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
