_Primary Patient Population:_
• Underserved population in the Greater Cleveland area
• Cancer Patients
_Primary skills utilized/learned:_
• Performs a variety of technical procedures in diagnostic radiology and one specialty area of radiology for the diagnosis of diseases in children through adult patients. Specialty areas are CT and Breast Imaging.
_Personnel Multi-Modality Tech will work with_** **_:_
• The Mamm/XR staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients.
_Awards or Recognitions the unit has received:_
+ **All CT scanners are ACR Accredited**
+ **Early life cycle CT and X-Ray equipment at Brecksville, Cleveland Heights, and Parma**
+ **All Mammography/XR Technologists credentialed through ARRT**
+ **Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing Mammography/ Breast Imaging & X-Ray scanning equipment in the diagnosis of diseases in humans.**
+ **Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations.**
Qualifications:
Required:
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
• Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• ARRT M credential or obtains within one year of employment.
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH)
• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.
Preferred:
• One-year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in CT.
Physical Requirements:
• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
• May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs.
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
•Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
