    **Job Title:** Machine Operator / General Laborer – Waste Management Facility

    **Location:** Portsmouth, VA

    **Schedule:** Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

    **Pay Rate:** $21.00 per hour

    Adecco is currently hiring **Machine Operators / General Laborers** for a leading waste management and recycling facility in **Portsmouth, VA** . This is a hands-on, physically active role that's perfect for individuals who enjoy working in fast-paced industrial settings and aren’t afraid to get a little dirty.

    Responsibilities:

    + Work on the sort deck, separating materials safely and efficiently

    + Monitor equipment to maintain proper material flow

    + Clear jams and blockages in machinery safely and promptly

    + Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas

    + Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE

    + Support general facility operations and tasks as needed

    Qualifications:

    + Previous experience in **machine operation, general labor, warehouse, or industrial settings** is a plus

    + Must be comfortable working in environments involving **waste and recyclable materials**

    + Ability to **stand, bend, lift, and move** for the duration of a 10+ hour shift

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a **safe work environment**

    + Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team

    **Pay Details:** $21.00 per hour
