    Emergency Response Clinician

    Direct Hire

    **Pay Range:** $65,000 - $68,000 annually

    **Hours:** Saturday through Wednesday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with flexibility based on program needs.

     

    About the Role

     

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Emergency Response Clinician** to join our team of first responders. In this vital role, you will work directly with individuals and their support circles who are experiencing pre-crisis or crisis situations related to substance use and co-occurring disorders. You’ll provide immediate support, critical resources, and advocacy, empowering individuals and families to navigate complex systems and access the care they need.

    Key Responsibilities

    As an Emergency Response Clinician, you will:

    + **Respond to Emergencies:** Work in partnership with the ILI team to respond to substance use disorder and co-occurring disorder-related emergency calls, providing on-scene support as warranted.

    + **Provide Support and Connection:** Remain on scene with a peer team member to offer support and facilitate connections to ongoing resources.

    + **Empower Individuals & Families:** Help families and individuals understand the progression of addiction, navigate insurance barriers, and access appropriate treatment systems.

    + **Facilitate Referrals:** Make direct referrals to the Orange County Crisis Call Center for ongoing resources, services, and peer supports, including the Mobile Response Team when necessary.

    + **Educate and Inform:** Provide education and training on harm reduction strategies to those residing with or supporting individuals experiencing an emergency.

    + **Connect to Resources:** Maintain and apply current knowledge of community resources for individuals seeking additional treatment or services.

    + **Advocate for Individuals:** Assist individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders in protecting their rights, resolving complaints, accessing services, and navigating community supports of their choice.

    + **Maintain Records:** Complete all required reporting and record-keeping, including statistical reports, by specified due dates.

    + **Actively Participate:** Engage in all meetings and training sessions provided specifically those relevant to substance use disorder, co-occurring disorders, transition, and diversion.

    Qualifications

    + **Licensure:** Must be a Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA), including:

    + Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW)

    + Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

    + Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

    + Licensed Creative Arts Therapist

    + Licensed Occupational Therapist

    + Registered Nurse

    + **Experience:**

    + Minimum of one year of management/supervisory experience, required.

    + Lived experience with substance use recovery (personally or through a family member/friend) and comfort with self-disclosure as needed is a plus.

    + **Knowledge & Skills:**

    + Working knowledge of the recovery process and a willingness to promote multi-pathways to recovery.

    + Strong data entry and computer software skills.

    + Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.

    + Good time management skills and ability to be self-directing.
