    QC Lab TechnicianJob Description

     

    We are seeking QC Lab Technicians to support a food ingredient production facility specializing in powdered mixes for dairy products.

    Responsibilities

    + Test raw material samples from production and perform release of raw materials with appropriate documentation.

    + Prepare 50-60 sample batches per shift, which involves weighing ingredients and cooking them at appropriate temperatures.

    + Conduct basic lab testing including viscosity, moisture, water activity, and sensory testing such as taste, smell, and appearance.

    + Perform microbiology sample preparation duties as needed.

    + Handle basic duties including dishwashing, cleaning, sample preparation, and organization in the lab.

    + Participate in production room inspections and release, as well as final product release with documentation in the CPU system and QA Logbook.

    + Work on feet the majority of the day with occasional desk work for data entry and product release.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge of moisture, raw materials, and quality control processes.

    + Ability to conduct sensory tests and basic lab testing.

    + Interest in working in a food production facility.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
