    Job Title: Utility Field Technician

    What You'll Do:

    + Inspect and Innovate: Conduct visual inspections of overhead and underground electrical distribution equipment.

    + Data Mastery: Compile field data, prepare minor work orders, and maintain detailed reports.

    + Mapping Marvel: Measure and map out Low Voltage Distribution (LVD) systems.

    + Equipment Expert: Identify and record electrical equipment on poles.

    + Technical Services: Perform system inventories, audits, joint use management, permitting, pad-mount inspections, ground-line pole inspections, metering and apparatus services, lighting audits, and more.

    + Tech Savvy: Utilize laptops, tablets, GPS, and other electronic devices for field data collection.

    + Safety First: Develop a working knowledge of National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), electric utility construction standards, and communication facilities.

    + Precision Tools: Operate equipment like height sticks and range finders to take accurate measurements.

    + Maintenance Maestro: Perform pole inspections and maintenance on pad-mount equipment.

    + Goal Getter: Achieve weekly billable goals as defined by project guidelines.

    What We're Looking For:

    + Education: High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.

    + Customer Focus: Ability to work with customers, landowners, and clientele to facilitate power utility asset replacements, upgrades, and joint-use make-ready construction.

    + Versatility: Ability to perform various tasks to ensure timely data delivery, including pre-field work, design analysis, and fieldwork.

    + Experience: Preferred experience in field data collection, data analysis, utility locating, overhead lines, pole analysis, LVD, and distribution design.

    + Knowledge: Familiarity with NESC is a plus.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
