    Job Summary

    Design new and replacement measurement and regulation facilities. Support area engineering and new businessdepartments with meter set, farm tap, take station and regulator station design. Support operations and M&R withmaintenance and initial set up activities.

     

    **This position is hybrid, not remote.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    • With assistance from supervisor or Sr Engineer, design budgeted replacement and betterment measurement andregulation facilities. Generate designs and construction drawings and procedures that comply with federal, state,local and company codes and procedure manuals. Identity and apply for necessary permits. Coordinate projectswith local operations and M&R personnel to ensure resources and materials are forecast for completion inbudgeted year. Support field personnel during construction. Review as-built documentation for completeness andaccuracy.

    • With assistance from supervisor or Sr Engineer, develop and implement standard designs for measurement andregulation facilities. Generate and maintain template drawings that can be used throughout the UGI serviceterritories by various departments. Drawings will include sizing guidelines for various components that are flow orpressure dependent.

    • With assistance from supervisor or Sr Engineer, perform relief capacity verification calculations for all regulatorstations in service territory. Identify any that may need to be remediated and design and implement the changes.Complete calculation review and remediations prior to regulatory and GOM deadlines.

    • With assistance from supervisor or Sr Engineer, review existing station designs for capacity constraints. Identifylimiting factors and determine timeline for implementation. Work with system planning to include proposed loadchanges and system reinforcement projects. Work with network analysis department to have gate station andregulator station facilities properly modeled.

    • Represent the company at construction and/or utility meetings with state, municipalities, contractors, developers,etc. Support local engineering and new business departments with measurement and regulation inquiries anddesigns.

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

     

    • Knowledge of Title 49 CFR 192 Transportation of Natural and Other Gas By Pipeline: Minimum Federal SafetyStandard

    • Knowledge of company procedure manuals (guidelines for design, installation and maintenance)

    • Knowledge and fluency using AutoCAD or other computer aided drafting software

    • Knowledge of construction practices

    • Demonstrate ability to multitask to attain short term and long term goals

     

    Education and Experience

     

    + Bachelor of Science in Engineering with preference for Mechanical or Civil focus

    + Engineer II - 2+ years in natural gas industry experience

    + Engineer III - 3+ years in natural gas industry experience

    + Valid Driver’s License
