    Job Title: CMM ProgrammerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to develop inspection processes, program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and assist the production inspection team in effectively operating CMMs. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in CMM programming, a strong understanding of inspection processes, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and quality assurance in manufacturing environments.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret engineering drawings and symbols, including GD&T (ASME Y14.5), to perform precise dimensional inspections.

    + Analyze measurement data to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

    + Support dimensional inspection on various parts and tools using contact and non-contact sensors on CMMs to verify conformance.

    + Conduct capability studies and Gauge R&R to improve measurement reliability.

    + Troubleshoot CMM programs and resolve measurement issues.

    + Collaborate closely with other departments, being the sole programmer on site.

    + Train and mentor junior team members on CMM programming, operation, and troubleshooting.

    + Balance simultaneous projects while meeting assigned timelines.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 15 years of quality inspection experience.

    + Minimum of 5 years of CMM programming experience.

    + Minimum of 5 years of CAD experience.

    + Experience working in a Calibration Lab.

    + GD&T experience.

    + Experience with IS9000 or AS9100.

    + U.S. citizenship is required for handling sensitive data in support of government and military programs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Aerospace Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) / FAA Repair Station experience.

    + Associate degree or higher in a STEM field.

    + Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).

    + Experience with Siemens NX CAD Software.

    + Experience with LK Metrology CAMIO CMM Software.

    + Experience with Faro CMM Arms.

    + Experience with Polyworks Inspector.

    + GD&T (ASME Y14.5) Experience.

    + PPAP Experience.

    + Experience with ISO17025 and A2LA Standards.

    + Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, with experience in continuous improvement programs (6s, etc.).

    + Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    + Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft O365 suite.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes multiple facilities with hours starting between 7-8am and working 9-hour days from Monday to Friday, totaling a 45-hour work week. Employees are afforded 15 days off annually, contributing to a balanced work-life experience.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
