Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer, focused on supporting installations, new launches, and special or capital projects. You will play a key role in executing engineering strategies and overseeing new product launches. Collaborate with site management teams to develop priorities and objectives, ensuring continuous improvements throughout the plant. Utilize SolidWorks and CAD for fixtures and plant layouts.

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with project management to support installations and new launches.

+ Execute engineering strategies and oversee new product launches.

+ Develop priorities and objectives with site management and oversee implementation.

+ Drive continuous improvements throughout the plant.

+ Utilize SolidWorks and CAD for designing fixtures and plant layouts.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of manufacturing experience, or entry-level with strong co-op/internship experience.

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology, or 5+ years of automotive experience without an engineering degree.

+ Proficiency in SolidWorks.

+ Experience in process improvements and automotive manufacturing engineering.

+ Strong skills in PLC programming.

+ Robotics troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.

+ Experience with automotive project management.

+ Industrial engineering expertise.

+ Familiarity with HMI and Allen-Bradley PLCs.

+ Tooling experience.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on consultant needs. The role involves spending 80% of the time on the manufacturing floor and 20% in the office. The environment is a fast-paced, dirty, automotive setting, which is not temperature-controlled. Employees are required to sit or stand for long periods, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, and may walk over 10,000 steps daily in a large plant. Steel-toed boots are mandatory on the manufacturing floor. The position may require working 40-50 hours per week depending on projects. Up to 5% domestic and international travel may be needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.47/hr.
