    The Electrical Designer is responsible for developing and implementing electrical designs with a focus on power distribution, low voltage infrastructure, and lighting design. The role includes calculating loads, fault current, and voltage drop, as well as performing field surveys and providing construction phase support.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop power distribution systems, including riser diagrams and panel schedules.

    + Design low voltage infrastructure for IT and security systems.

    + Create lighting designs, including fixture selection, controls, and lighting calculations.

    + Implement low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security, and controls.

    + Calculate electrical loads, fault current, and voltage drop.

    + Conduct field surveys and provide support during the construction phase.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Revit software.

    + Expertise in electrical design and lighting design.

    + Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) Certification.

    + Experience in power distribution and low-voltage systems.

    + Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices.

    Work Environment

    The workplace consists of a small team of 10 employees in a bullpen-like office setting, promoting a family-oriented atmosphere. The position is full-time with generous benefits, and potential relocation packages are available for those moving to Lawrence. The company is open to offering a hybrid work model after proven performance.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
