    The Job:

    STANLEY Engineered Fastening (SEF) is looking for a **Sr Human Resources Generalist** to support the manufacturing operations onsite in Decorah, IA. The main objectives of this high-impact role are focused on supporting the key HR strategies to attract, engage, develop, reward, and retain a diverse, highly qualified, and culturally aligned employee base. Provides a full range of day-to-day HR support to the local team including timekeeping, staffing, employee/labor relations, performance management, organizational development, benefits, compensation, and training & development. You’ll get to:

     

    + Using ADP/eTime, administers the location’s payroll processing time and attendance system and conducts training with employees in system usage.

    + Manages employee job and pay data in HR system Workday. Trains employees to use Workday.

    + Works collaboratively with employees and leaders regarding communication, policies, procedures and practices.

    + Implements and monitors adherence to all organization-specific Human Resource related policies, procedures, and practices, acts as a liaison to staff regarding policies. Explains and interprets as necessary policies and procedures.

    + Resolve employee relations issues and maintain an open-door policy.

    + Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in internal processes and makes constructive suggestions for change.

    + Works with 3rd party vendors to manage Leave of Absence, disability and FMLA policies.

    + Drives employee engagement through effective communication, employee events and activities.

    + Communicates and assists employees with benefit programs and information.

    + Assists with candidates from interviewing through onboarding processes, including new employee orientation.

    + Partners with HR Manager on a variety of tactical and project work.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    The Person:

    + 5 years minimum of Human Resources experience

    + Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

    + Proven track record of building strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization

    + Must possess strong communication skills

    + Thorough general knowledge and understanding of the Human Resources function

    + Works effectively with employees, leaders, with everyone at any level within the organization; capable of influencing plant business leaders to drive HR initiatives

    + Maintains confidentiality at all levels and demonstrates the highest level of personal ethical conduct

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point

    + Results oriented mindset with ability to prioritize and complete projects

    + Professional, self-motivated individual with the desire to succeed and motivate others

    + Strong presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills

    + Efficient, organized and prioritizes tasks and overall work

    + High School Diploma required/Bachelor's degree preferred
