    About the Role:

    We are seeking a highly motivated Purification Scientist to join our Protein Sciences group within the Biotherapeutics and Genetic Medicine department. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge biologics research and drug discovery efforts. The ideal candidate will be a driven scientist with a passion for protein purification and a strong commitment to scientific excellence and collaboration.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Develop and optimize protein purification protocols using affinity (AC), ion exchange (IEX), and size exclusion chromatography (SEC).

    + Operate AKTA FPLC systems for protein purification workflows.

    + Maintain high productivity and quality standards in the laboratory.

    + Collaborate effectively with cross-functional research teams.

    + Contribute to experimental design and continuous process improvement.

    + Stay current with relevant scientific literature and apply insights to enhance protocols.

    + Present research findings through oral presentations and written reports.

    + Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely laboratory records.

    Qualifications:

    + BS with 3–5 years, MS with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a recent PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.

    + Strong hands-on experience in protein purification from E. coli, insect, and mammalian expression systems.

    + Familiarity with high-throughput purification techniques is a plus.

    + Proficiency in protein analysis methods such as SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and analytical SEC.

    + Experience in expression construct design and structural biology is advantageous.

    + Prior experience in the research and development of protein therapeutics is highly desirable.

    + Excellent documentation and data presentation skills.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
