This team helps businesses, developers and scientists transform user experiences, optimize operations and build a sustainable future with Google Maps Platform. In our quest to map the world over the past 20 years, this team can now provide the highest quality, most reliable and broadest coverage of geospatial data worldwide to power user experiences and improve business operations.
Product Marketing plays a critical role in Google Maps Platform’s strategy to provide the best location based services for developers and businesses. As Product Marketing Manager (PMM) you will partner with product, UX, and Developer Relations teams to shape the product strategy, goal and positioning for Google Maps Platform. You will be responsible for partnering on audience and market research, creating narratives and positioning, crafting and launching adoption and engagement strategies. This is a unique opportunity to not only shape the direction of the products and solutions in the market but to work with a passionate team.
You are passionate about positioning technical products and telling stories. Technical aptitude and interest, organization and cross-team influence are your special super-powers. You are a curious learner, keen to not only market these services but to learn how to become a basic user or developer. You can ruthlessly prioritize, manage, and drive multiple high-impact projects to completion. And you know how to communicate effectively to internal and external audiences. Your success depends on your ability to build strong working relationships and interactions with a cross-functional team.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
