    Job Title: QC Inspector

     

    Shift: 3rd shift(10:30pm-6:45am)

     

    Department/Group: Quality

    Reports to: Supervisor

     

    Position Purpose Summary – Perform statistical quality control inspections including measuring with precision tools and equipment and provide detailed documentation.

    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any safety policies and protocols outlined by the company.

    • Ability to read, understand and interpret blue prints, shop drawings and inspection documents.

    • Ability to calculate using basic math techniques primarily fractions and decimals. (reading, writing, and converting)

    • Operate and utilize various pieces of equipment for precision measuring including but not limited to various hand tools, gages, and optical measuring equipment (OGP etc.)

    • Complete necessary forms and maintain detailed quality records, including certifications per GTC/CUSTOMER procedures or requirements

    • Must collaborate and communicate with other departmental supervisors and work station personnel.

    • Perform/ support mold approval activities

    • Perform miscellaneous duties in Quality Control including but not limited to: audits of documents, processes, and products; receiving / incoming inspection of product (finished /semi-finished), final shipping inspection of product (Visual, dimensional, and documentation)

    • Record data as required per internal and or customer requirements,

    • Other tasks as directed by supervisor / manager

    • Maintain good housekeeping in the work area

    • Perform miscellaneous duties in the Quality department as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • High School Diploma / GED

    • Various computer functions will be performed using, but not limited to SAP, Lotus Notes, Excel, and Word.

    • Ability to exercise careful attention to detail.

    • Ability to work independently and make decisions within the scope of this job description

    • Annual quality re-verification is required.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to work in positions requiring long periods of sitting.

    • Ability to work in positions requiring frequent reaching.

    • Ability to work in positions requiring continuous grasping and repetitive movements.

    • Ability to carry up to 30 lbs. without the use of mechanical devices.

    • Ability to work in position requiring occasional pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping and kneeling.

    • Ability to work in positions requiring occasional wearing of personal protective equipment such as

    • Hearing protection

    • Eye protection

    • Foot protection

    • Lab coats required

    • Clean room garments as required

    • Visual Activity Requirement: Good vision meeting GTC vision testing requirements.
