Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will operate production and test equipment, monitor and suggest improvements to the area, comply with safety policies, and maintain accurate records. You will also perform tests and measurements on parts to ensure quality, interface with quality assurance, assist in material transportation, and inspect production equipment daily.

Responsibilities

+ Operate production and test equipment.

+ Monitor and recommend improvements to the area as needed.

+ Comply with company and area safety policies and practices.

+ Maintain accurate production records and equipment operation records.

+ Perform tests and measurements on parts to ensure product quality.

+ Interface with quality assurance to ensure product quality.

+ Assist in picking, transporting, and exchanging materials, supplies, and parts.

+ Inspect production equipment daily.

+ Support and foster active participation in corporate values and comply with the Management Systems.

+ Handle hazardous materials and samples.

+ Ensure the safe transport of hazardous materials and gas cylinders.

+ Operate basic hand and power tools.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in machine operation, injection molding, assembly, stamping, and production line work.

+ Knowledge of quality control and production processes.

+ Ability to troubleshoot and perform general labor tasks.

+ Familiarity with machine operating procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to use computers and touch screen devices.

+ Experience in production or other relevant skills.

+ Familiarity with the metric system.

The facility is very clean and automated, with stamping and molding operations being more independent, while plating and assembly are team-focused.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.17/hr.
