Job Title: Warehouse Associate-** **$21/HR
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for understanding and effectively demonstrating the ability to execute the proper storage of materials, material movement, and housekeeping. The role requires specialization in one of two areas: Production Support or Shipping and Receiving. Stand-up forklift experience is required.
Responsibilities
+ Remove trash, recyclables, deficient materials, and broken pallets from the warehouse.
+ Perform housekeeping as per the Master Sanitation Schedule.
+ Address radio or email requests in a timely manner.
+ Invert and/or warp items as needed.
+ Communicate with various departments via phone or e-mail.
+ Adhere to all safety rules, policies, and standard operating procedures.
+ Operate all heavy equipment following operating procedures.
+ Load and offload trailers.
+ Perform daily or weekly inventory counts.
+ Conduct daily inspection and watering services for heavy equipment batteries.
+ Perform put-away tasks using a handheld device.
+ Secure third and fourth tier pallets by re-wrapping or transferring to a lower tier.
+ Safely store and handle hazardous materials according to OSHA guidelines.
+ Perform local driving duties and back up the non-local driver.
+ Complete weekly Behavioral Based observations and flush the emergency shower and eye station weekly.
+ Operate Stand Up Forklift.
+ Receive and store all incoming materials in proper storage areas.
+ Accurately barcode all incoming raw materials.
+ Segregate incoming raw materials by material and batch.
+ Physically load/unload boxes and drums of material onto/from transportation vehicles.
+ Accurately prepare material for shipping from pick lists and shrink-wrap for safe transport.
+ Complete daily Shipping and Receiving Inspection form.
+ Prepare daily order packets for picking.
+ Print appropriate GHS labels per material number.
+ Process daily UPS & FedEx packages in a timely manner.
+ Send notifications and deliver offline packages to designated areas.
+ Prepare and package hazardous materials according to D.O.T standards.
+ Receipt inbound freight in SAP and stage lots for sampling.
+ Maintain the inbound Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) log.
Essential Skills
+ Clear communication skills – written and verbal.
+ Detail-oriented and able to read lot numbers.
+ Ability to follow directions and work with S.O.P.s.
+ Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel.
+ Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins, and fine chemicals.
+ Ability to work with allergen products.
+ Team-oriented with problem-solving skills.
+ Results-focused and oriented toward accomplishment of team goals.
+ Flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
+ Clean DMV record with a valid California driver's license.
+ Ability to stay positive and calm in difficult circumstances.
+ Experience and ability to be certified to operate a forklift and a motorized pallet jack.
+ Ability to handle multiple, changing, and conflicting priorities.
+ Proficiency in spoken and written English.
+ Computer literacy including basic numeracy skills and proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
+ Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining productive.

Work Environment
The work environment requires wearing steel-toe boots, safety vests, and hard hats. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the flexibility to work overtime and on Saturdays as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CARLSBAD, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.54 - $21.54/hr.
