Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Facilities Technician will provide direct, hands-on support for facilities maintenance and improvement efforts across the Alexandria site, while also supporting the site's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) activities. This position involves collaboration with the Facilities Coordinator and participation in a variety of projects and teams within the organization.
Responsibilities
+ Perform facilities-related activities, comprising approximately 80% of the role.
+ Engage in EHS-related activities, making up about 20% of the role.
+ Conduct facilities maintenance and improvement using a variety of tools.
+ Facilitate the movement of materials using non-motorized and motorized equipment.
+ Operate forklifts and aerial lifts.
+ Perform facilities inspection and management of parts and supplies in common areas.
+ Conduct pest control activities inside and outside the building.
+ Carry out safety inspections.
+ Document chemical and biological waste.
+ Perform light facilities janitorial duties.
+ Participate in the site Safety Committee.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
