This is a fulltime position located at Lake D'Arbonne State Park in Farmerville, LA.

FUNCTION OF WORK:
To perform operations support tasks for a state park or state historic site.
LEVEL OF WORK:
Entry
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Close from a Park Technician Supervisor or other higher-level personnel.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
None
LOCATION OF WORK:
May be used by all state agencies.
JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from other classified jobs by the presence of a combination of clerical, custodial, and basic maintenance tasks in support of a state park or historic site.
Differs from Park Technician B by the absence of experienced-level park operations support tasks.
Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
The purpose of this position is to maintain the cleanliness of park buildings and rental facilities as well as the grounds, including the park's gardens. Guest occupancy is heavy on a seasonal basis and the percentages below will vary throughout the year.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational; Current classified permanent status employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if offered the position.
Work Schedule: Fulltime; May be required to work overtime.
Career Progression: This position is in a career progression group up to a Park Technician C. This position may be filled as a Park Technician A, B, or C based on the qualifications of the applicant selected.
