Job Title: Order Picker Operator

Job Description

A distribution center in the northeastern Indianapolis region is searching for Order Picker/Forklift Operators for the first shift.

Responsibilities

+ Manually pick orders based on a pick ticket, with items often weighing between 25-50 pounds.

+ Regularly use RF scanner to track inventory.

+ Operate sit-down forklift and cherry picker to stage product and pick pallets.

+ Use wrapping machine to prepare items for shipment.

+ Conduct quality inspections of final shipments to ensure all items are accurate.

+ Utilize Microsoft applications on the computer for various tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in using RF scanner technology.

+ Experience in order picking and material handling.

+ Ability to operate forklifts and cherry pickers.

+ Capable of heavy lifting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with reach truck operations.

+ Knowledge in order fulfillment processes.

Work Environment

Work in a spacious 75,000 square foot warehouse that is well-lit, clean, and moderately loud. The facility is equipped with racks standing six sections high, approximately 25 feet tall.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
