This Attorney Supervisor will serve the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) in a highly responsible legal, consultative, administrative and supervisory capacity as an Attorney Supervisor (chief of a section of the Bureau of Legal Services) assigned to the LOH/Office of Secretary/Bureau of Legal Services, Contracts and Procurement Section, at state headquarters in Baton Rouge. Incumbent serves as an Attorney Supervisor within the Bureau of Legal Services on matters relating to (1) Contracts; (2) Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Solicitations for Proposals (SFPs); (3) Procurements; (4) Cooperative Endeavor Agreements (CEAs); (5) Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs); (6) Protests; and (7) other contractual legal matters/issues. Incumbent also handles transactions and issues involving property owned by, or under the control and management of, LDH. Incumbent will also serve as litigation attorney for contractual or property issues involving the Department, as well as for procurement protests and legal proceedings.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice law plus four years of experience as a practicing attorney.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ This position provides highly technical legal advice, assistance, and consultation to the Secretary, Undersecretary, Deputy Secretary, Assistant Secretaries, Medicaid Director, Deputy Medicaid Directors, Executive Counsel, General Counsel, and Deputy General Counsel.
+ Incumbent will work extensively with the managerial and administrative staff of the Office of Management and Finance, as well as other programs/offices of the Department.

This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of:
Attorney Supervisor - $36.66 hourly / $2,932.80 bi-weekly
This position comes with a Premium Pay Rate of up to $2.00 per hour for hours worked only and based on years of service at the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), Bureau of Legal Services:
0 months to less than 2 years - $1.00/hour
2 years to less than 4 years - $1.50/hour
4 years or greater - $2.00/hour
