The Lead Accountant (Financial Accounting) reports to the Financial Accounting Manager.　 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparation of monthly journal entries. Review and reconciliation of sub-ledgers. Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements. Preparation of bank reconciliations. Trend analysis of the balance sheet and income statement. Work with other departments to obtain documents and information needed for the close process or other projects. Balance intercompany transactions. Handle special projects requested from other departments or within the department. Preparation of quarterly variance analysis. Adhere to SOX procedures and documentation guidelines. Provide technical guidance to others when needed. Responsible for the timely resolution of outstanding accounting issues. Mentor, train and assist others within the department as needs arise. When supervisors are out of the office, provide quality review of journal entries and account reconciliations. Qualifications The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:　 A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. A minimum of 6 to 8 years accounting experience is required. Oracle experience is preferred. Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Proficiency with accounting concepts. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization and external parties. Self-starter who has the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Takes direction well and upholds the standards and procedures of the department. Ability to adapt to change and work in a fluid environment. Works effectively with minimal supervision. Ability to set goals within departmental guidelines. Ability to work well with team members while providing training and support.
